Sarah Klem

Prior to joining NewSchools Venture Fund, Ms. Klem worked as an Office Manager for Jazz at Pearl’s where she managed administrative duties such as human resources, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory.
Over the past 10 years, she has worked and volunteered in several educational non-profits and businesses.
Her favorite experience was interning in New Orleans as a teacher and Co-Art Director for Breakthrough Collaborative.
She has also provided language instruction for a child who has Autism.
She developed course material and tutored one-on-one for adults learning English as a Second Language (ESL).
Other non-profit experiences include volunteering as a teacher recruiter on a college campus, advising an educational newsletter on how to increase readership and creating a tailored marketing plan for an educational business.
Ms. Klem graduated with Honors from Washington University, in St. Louis with a B.A.
degree in Psychology and minor in Fine Arts.
