Halbis Capital Management (Hong Kong) Ltd. (HCM-HK) was formerly known as HSBC Halbis Partners (Hong Kong) Ltd. The firm is the Hong Kong branch of Halbis Capital Management, established in 2005 through the aggregation of HSBC Alternative Investments with part of HSBC Asset Management. A subsidiary of HSBC Holdings Plc (LSE: HSBA; NYSE: HBC), Halbis Capital Management also has offices in London, Paris and New York. HCM-HK is a specialist investment manager focused on Asia, particularly emerging markets, and is among the largest equity investment managers in Hong Kong. The firm sub-advises Asian portfolios for external funds and for funds managed within the parent group. In particular, they operate in close relationship with sister company HSBC Investments (Hong Kong) Ltd.

HSBC Global Asset Management (Hong Kong) Ltd. (HSBC-GAM HK) is the wholly-owned asset management subsidiary of The HongKong & Shanghai Banking Corp. Ltd. and is indirectly owned by HSBC Holdings Plc (LON: HSBA, ADR: HSBC.PRA) in Great Britain. Headquartered in Hong Kong, the firm originated in 1973 as a banking branch and became part of HSBC Asset Management in 1994. The current firm, formerly known as HSBC Investments (Hong Kong) Ltd., was founded in 2005 when the group's investment management business was reorganized. HSBC-GAM HK provides investment management services to corporate clients, private individuals and institutions.
