Giles, CFA, is Vice President, Chief Investment Officer and Director of Research at Dean Investment Associates.
He joined Dean Investment Associates in 2000 as Senior Equity Strategist and Assistant Director of Portfolio Management.
He was named Vice President in May 2001, and was promoted in August 2001 to the position of Chief Investment Officer.
Prior to joining Dean, Giles spent eleven years with Tom Johnson Investment Management in Oklahoma City as Vice President, Portfolio Manager and Director of Research, where he managed $3.5 billion in assets.
Giles is considered to be an expert in value investing, making regular appearances on CNBC, CNN, and Bloomberg TV.
He was past president and director of the Oklahoma Society of Financial Analysts and is a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR).
Giles has an M.B.A in Finance and a B.B.A.
in Statistics from the University of Texas.
He was awarded the CFA designation in 1984.
