Mr. Ashar Mahboob is Co-Founder & Chief Investment Officer at Quantbot Technologies LP.
Before co-founding Quantbot in 2009, Mr. Mahboob was co-head of Merrill Lynch's statistical arbitrage proprietary trading group, as an original founding member of QSA, he was responsible for creating a new global business from scratch.
Before joining Merrill, he was a senior member of Morgan Stanley's Equity Trading Lab proprietary trading group, responsible for developing statistical arbitrage black box automated trading strategies.
Prior to ETL, he worked in quantitative developer roles at Bank of America Securities and Fuji Capital Markets in New York.
Mr. Mahboob holds BS and MS degrees in Computer Science and MS degree in Computational Finance.
