Prior to the formation of Rosemont, Mr. Silvera directed the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice for Investment Counseling, Inc., assisting clients with the development and implementation of transaction related strategies.
Prior to joining Investment Counseling in 1997, Mr. Silvera gained over seven years experience in corporate finance and financial advisory consulting with the investment banking divisions of Smith Barney, Legg Mason Wood Walker and Coopers & Lybrand.
He has also provided strategic advisory services to Fortune 100 clients as a consultant for the Center for Applied Research.
Mr. Silvera served on the Board of Directors of Charlotte Capital, LLC and Persimmon Research Partners, Inc.; and currently sits on the Management Committees for Allegiance Investment Management, LLC and Rice, Hall, James & Associates, LLC.
Mr. Silvera received his Bachelors degree from Columbia College in English and earned a Masters of Business Administration in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
He is a frequent speaker and author on topics related to mergers and acquisitions in the investment management industry.
