Dennis Crema

Mr. Dennis Crema is a Founding Partner & Chief Executive Officer at BlueGold Capital Management LLP.
He is on the Board of Directors at Dominion Petroleum Ltd.
Aside from his functions as Managing Partner & Chief Executive Officer, he is also a Co-Founder, Senior Energy Trader and the Head of the Risk Committee at BlueGold.
Before co-founding BlueGold Capital Management with Pierre Andurant, he has filled many senior roles within the energy trading business.
He most recently spent the last 12 years, from 1995 until 2007, at Vitol Energy SA in London as Senior Partner, Head of the Trading Committee, and Head of Products Trading.
He relocated from the US to London in 1995 to focus on propriety trading in the physical and derivatives oil markets.
He went on to manage the 50-man team of Energy Traders at Vitol whilst maintaining a primary focus on trading physical and paper markets.
The team he headed was renowned in the industry for running one of the most profitable global trading books.
As Head of the Trading Committee, he grew the business, managing and maintaining a steady growth in volumes, turnover and profits.
In addition to the paper markets, he was also instrumental in the purchase of a number of oil terminals worldwide, with the largest acquisition being Ventpils Nafta Company, where he currently remains as the Deputy Chairman of the Board.
From 1991 to 1995, he worked at Tosco Corporation, Philadelphia, where he was involved in the start-up operation, focusing firstly on acquisitions and then establishing a Supply Distribution/Trading Group focusing on optimizing the refinery assets of the group.
He was named Head of Trading in 1994.
He began his career in 1985 at Amerada Hess in the US.
He spent one year as an in-house Auditor and then held positions with shipping & oil operations, refining and terminal management, and finally the blending & trading operations.
Mr. Crema holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Hofstra University New York.
