Barksdale is a Chief Executive Officer at Federal Street Partners LLC.
He is a Emeritus Board Member of Duke Management Company, Chairman of the Investment Committee of Stamford Health System and Member of the Investment Committee of the Fairfield County Community Foundation.
Prior to November 1999, Mr. Barksdale served as President and CEO of Northern Trust Global Advisors and Northern Trust Company of Connecticut.
He was responsible for the manager of managers investment funds and advisory services provided to more than 200 taxable and tax exempt clients.
Predecessor firms include RCB International, Inc. and RCB Trust Company, Inc. (which were acquired by Northern Trust in 1995) and Rogers, Casey and Barksdale, Inc., founded in 1976.
Prior to 1976, he was a Consultant at Dreher, Rogers & Associates, a co-founder of Callan Associates and a Pension Officer with General Dynamics.
He holds a BA degree in Economics from the Duke University in 1966 and earned his MBA degree in Finance from the Wharton School of Finance of the University of Pennsylvania in 1968.
