Predecessor firms include RCB International, Inc. and RCB Trust Company, Inc. (which were acquired by Northern Trust in 1995) and Rogers, Casey and Barksdale, Inc., founded in 1976.
Prior to 1976, he was a Consultant at Dreher, Rogers & Associates, a co-founder of Callan Associates and a Pension Officer with General Dynamics.
He holds a BA degree in Economics from the Duke University in 1966 and earned his MBA degree in Finance from the Wharton School of Finance of the University of Pennsylvania in 1968.
