First National Bank of the Rockies (Colorado)
First National Bank of the Rockies (Colorado) Major BanksFinance First National Bank of the Rockies traces its roots back to the Old West when it was chartered in 1904 as The First National Bank of Meeker. For decades the bank has stood strong, and is one of only a few in the area to survive the Great Depression and the speculative boom and bust cycles of the region's oil shale activities. In the early 1990s the First National Bank of Meeker, along with First Federal Savings & Loan in Craig, was acquired by a group of local investors. The name was changed to First National Bank of the Rockies to reflect the bank's growing regional presence. In 1997, Rocky Mountain State Bank and Rio Blanco State Bank in Rangely were acquired and combined into the Rangely Office of FNBR. In mid-1999 First National Bank of the Rockies opened its first Grand Junction Office in a newly renovated facility at 2452 Hwy 6&50 just east of Mesa Mall. In 1999, FNBR also acquired banks in Hayden and Oak Creek, Colorado. In 2003, the bank opened a second Grand Junction office in the Redlands Marketplace. In 2004, a third Grand Junction office was opened on Horizon Drive, as was an office in Steamboat Springs. In 2006, First National Bank of the Rockies continued its expansion in the Grand Junction market with the opening of an Orchard Mesa office. Today, First National Bank of the Rockies continues the tradition of serving the needs of its customers in new and innovative ways. These include a state-of-the-art check image system, 24-hour telephone banking, and convenient Internet banking. Whether it's banking face-to-face the traditional way or using technology to bank the modern way, First National Bank of the Rockies gives its customers the power of choice. Combining strong local ownership, solid Western values and leading edge technology, First National Bank of the Rockies is well into its second century of service with an unwavering commitment to being "Your Bank." FNBR is a sanctuary of financial service and support. It's a bank where customers have confidence that their money is safe, that their financial best-interests are at heart, and where they feel highly valued on a personal level. FNBR is a bank founded in the belief that it is the financial bedrock of the community and has a fundamental obligation to maintain financial stability, promote financial literacy, and invest in a way that makes the community a better place to live. FNBR is a place where employees have confidence that they have the tools and training to understand their customers' needs, are authorized and expected to meet their needs in a highly responsive manner, and are empowered to always make their customers' banking experience consistently satisfying. It is a 100+ year old institution with deep roots steeped in "Western Values" that customers are proud to call their bank and are passionate in their loyalty to the brand. It is a place of openness and hospitality, and a haven of stability in an unstable world. It's where customers feel that they belong. | Corporate Officer/Principal | - |
