José Trevejo

José Miguel Trevejo was the founder of SmartPharm Therapeutics, Inc. founded in 2017, where he held the title of Director from 2017 to 2019.
He worked as a Medical Director at Genentech, Inc. from 2013 to 2014 and at Vertex Pharmaceuticals (Canada), Inc. from 2010 to 2013.
He was also the Head-Clinical Development & Regulatory Affairs at Visterra, Inc. and the Principal Investigator & Scientist at The Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Inc. He held the position of Chief Development Officer at Rocket Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Vice President-Clinical Development at Cyclerion Therapeutics, Inc. He was the Director at Diabetes Hands Foundation.
He will be the Chief Medical Officer at Tarsus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 2022 to 2024.
Dr. Trevejo received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and his doctorate from Weill Cornell Medical College.
