Mr. Reijula joined American Capital in 2007 after 13 years in four President positions of companies and divisions of McCain Foods Limited, a leading global manufacturer and marketer of frozen foods with worldwide annual sales in excess of $5 billion.
Prior, Mr. Reijula was General Manager of the Household/Grocery Division of Alberto-Culver Company and as VP/Director-Marketing at Tropicana Products.
He started his career in 1978 at General Foods Corp.
where one of his positions was a two-year assignment as Marketing Manager of General Foods Scandinavia in Sweden.
Mr. Reijula is a native of Finland who moved to the U.S.
to go to college.
He graduated from Northern Michigan University with B.S.
– General Business degree in 1976 and received an MBA degree in Marketing from Michigan State University 1978.
Mr. Reijula is a member of Northern Michigan University Sports Hall of Fame and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Business degree from this university in 2005.
