Prior to joining Stonebridge in 2017, Russ was the Area Vice President of Scotiabank Ontario Region where he was responsible for the strategic management of a $6.2 Billion portfolio across 14 Commercial Banking offices throughout Ontario.
Prior to his Scotiabank VP appointment, Russ held a number of positions including the Managing Director and Head, Roynat Capital North American Private Equity Coverage (NAPEC) where he led a team of 14 professionals supporting the corporate lending, structured products, and syndication of this specialized lending offering.
Russ has extensive business experience in the Toronto, Calgary and US markets in banking, manufacturing, distribution, and entrepreneurial ventures.
He has a strong operational and results focus on business growth and risk management strategies and initiatives.
He is an enthusiastic and collaborative leader who is known for getting the most out of his teams and being able to defuse conflict or tension.
Russ holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan.
