Nippon Steel Corporation è uno dei maggiori gruppi siderurgici giapponesi. Il fatturato netto è così suddiviso per attività:
- fabbricazione di prodotti siderurgici (88,5%): acciaio lungo, acciaio piatto, rotaie, lamiere, barre di ferro, prodotti tubolari, ecc.;
- servizi di ingegneria e costruzione (4%): progettazione, sviluppo e costruzione di strutture offshore, infrastrutture e sistemi ambientali;
- servizi tecnologici (3,9%);
- fabbricazione di prodotti chimici (3,6%): principalmente materie prime e sottoprodotti di ferro e acciaio (carbone, coke, catrame, ecc.).
Le vendite nette sono distribuite geograficamente come segue: Giappone (60,2%), Asia (22,8%) e altro (17%).
