Dr. Donald I.
Brownstein is Executive Chairman at Structured Portfolio Management LLC.
He founded the firm in February 1997.
Prior to SPM, Dr. Brownstein managed CDC Servicing, Inc., a specialized investment subsidiary of the Caisse des Depots et Consignations.
Prior to this, he worked in portfolio management at Franklin Savings Association, a leader in the development of quantitative methods for the management of mortgage-backed securities.
Earlier in his career, he had spent 20 years as a professor in the Philosophy Departments of the University of Kansas and the University of Texas.
Dr. Brownstein holds a Ph.D.
in Philosophy from the University of Minnesota, a B.A. from Queens College in New York City.
