Frank M. Polestra

Dr. Lynch has garnered a diverse and distinguished career, including over twenty years of venture capital experience, all of which have been spent at Ascent.
Initially, he worked as a Principal Scientist for Avco Corp., where he researched the Apollo reentry program.
He also held several research and engineering positions for RCA and Polaroid.
In 1969, he joined The Pioneer Group, where he would spend thirteen years before founding Pioneer Venture Capital.
Prior to his position with Ascent Venture Management, Dr. Polestra was President, Director and General Partner of Pioneer Capital Corporation, a venture capital management firm, from 1981 to 1999.
Dr. Polestra is a director of Embarcadero Technologies, Inc., a publicly held company.
Dr. Polestra earned a Doctorate in Chemistry from the University of Naples, as well as a PhD and MS in physical chemistry from Yale University.
