Gary joined HighPost Capital as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer, in May 2021, after spending over 20 years focused on private equity accounting and operations at both private and public firms.
Gary started his accounting career in 1999 at Ernst & Young specializing in the audit of private equity funds and hedge funds.
He then moved to Castle Harlan, a middle-market buyout firm, as Assistant Controller where he rose through the ranks to Chief Financial Officer overseeing finance, compliance and other operational areas of the firm.
In addition to having responsibilities for Castle Harlan’s domestic funds, Gary was instrumental in the implementation and maintenance of three international fund structures across Europe and Australia.
Gary also served as Manager at SS&C Technologies, a leading fund administrator, responsible for the financial reporting of private equity funds.
Gary graduated with a BA in Speech and Drama from Yeshiva University, after which he obtained an MBA with a specialization in Accountancy from Baruch College at The City University of New York (CUNY).
Gary is a New York State licensed Certified Public Accountant and is a Registered Director with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA).
