Robinson was appointed Vice Chairman of American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings, Inc. in October 2004.
He had been President and Chief Operating Officer of American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings since January 2001, an Executive Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer since August 1998 and Vice President of Manufacturing since May 1997.
Mr. Robinson joined American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings in March 1994 and was an Executive Director of the GMT-800 Program and an Executive Director of Manufacturing Services.
He joined Ford Motor Company in 1963 and held various technical and manufacturing management positions.
Mr. Robinson was Director of Vehicle Assembly for American Motors Corporation and worked at Chrysler Corporation.
