Dr. Moret was appointed to a 4-year term to the Board of Administration in February 2008 by the Assembly Speaker and the State Senate Rules Committee and the Assembly.
Dr. Moret brings more than 30 years experience in public administration and finance to the CalPERS Board.
He is Chair of the Performance and Compensation Committee.
He serves as Vice Chair of the Policy Subcommittee of the Investment Committee and the Finance Committee.
He is also a member of the Benefits and Program Administration, Investment, Risk Management and Board Governance Committees.
He earned his Doctor of Public Administration from the University of La Verne, his Masters in Public Administration from the University of Southern California, and his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Whittier College.
He is also a recipient of a Professional Designation for Senior Managers in Government from Harvard University.
