Pequot Library is a nonprofit public association library and cultural center serving surrounding communities. The private company is based in Southport, CT. It is housed in a historic building and offers a circulating collection of over 116,000 items, including books, audiobooks, DVDs, and a special collections archive of more than 30,000 rare books, manuscripts, and archives focused on early Americana. The library integrates its special collections into programming such as exhibitions, educational workshops, docent-led tours, and cultural events for all ages. It provides K–12 educational programs aligned with core standards, supports scholarly research through the Dillon Fellowship, and offers public access to digitized photographs and genealogy resources. Additional services include personalized adult book bundles, interlibrary loan, reading and study spaces, and annual book sales.
