Bol has been Senior Vice President of Product and Pharmaceutical Development for Avalon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since April 2005.
He joined Avalon in September 2002 as a Senior Scientific Director.
Since 1996, Dr. Bol had been employed at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he had served as Group Leader and Principal Scientist since 2001.
Prior to joining Bristol-Myers Squibb, he was a Faculty Research Associate in the Department of Carcinogenesis at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
He received a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Maryland and a BS from The University of Rochester, New York.
