David Niebauer has served as General Counsel for cleantech startups and investors for 20 years, after leading the SF venture capital practice for Graham & James (now Squire Patton Boggs), and specialized in venture capital financing and M&A. His General Counsel roles have included smart grid startups Smart Wires and Zenergy Power, Fusion developer Brillouin Energy, carbon startups TerraPass, Carbonflow and SRECTrade, and Agtech startup LumiGrow, as well as GC for Jane Capital Partners, Old Growth Ventures, and legal advisor to New Zealand renewable power company Meridian Energy’s American Solar IPP.
David has a B.A. from the State University of New York, M.A. from the Univ.
of Michigan, and J.D.
from Brooklyn Law School.
