Arle has been Vice President and Treasurer of Delphi Corporation since June 9, 2005.
He joined General Motors Corp.
in 1975 as a Senior Analyst at the Treasurer's Office in New York.
Mr. Arle held several positions at GM, including Director of Overseas Financial Analysis, Director of Employee Benefit Plans Analysis and Director of Compensation and Benefit Plans Analysis.
He was appointed as Director of Finance for GM de Venezuela in 1982, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of GM Hughes Electronics in 1986, General Manager and Comptroller of GM/Toyota NUMMI joint venture in 1988, Vice President and Finance Manager for GM of Canada Ltd. in 1992 and Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Saab Automobile AB in 1993.
Mr. Arle was appointed as Executive Director of Planning for Delphi in February 1998, Vice President-Mergers, Acquisitions and Planning in November 1998 and Vice President-Corporate Audit Services in March 2002.
He received a Bachelor's degree from Colgate University in 1969 and an MBA from Harvard University in 1975.
