Thompson, CFA MBA, is a Portfolio Manager at Thompson Investment Management, Inc. He was previously President and Chairman of Thompson Investment Management when founding the firm in January, 2004.
In 1984, he founded Thompson, Plumb & Associates where he served as President.
Previously, he served as Senior Trust and Investment Officer at Firstar Bank in Madison, Wisconsin.
Mr. Thompson earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
