Dr. Phillip Whitman is a Portfolio Manager at INTECH Investment Management LLC.
He works with the rest of INTECH’s investment team on the application of mathematics in portfolio construction using probability theory, data analysis and other fields in pure and applied mathematics.
He has also collaborated in basic research on the nature of the low-volatility anomaly, which has resulted in novel insights that have been presented in conference and in print.
He is also involved in maintaining and improving the trading system, and the implementation of the investment process.
He has over 8 years of industry experience.
Dr. Whitman received his BS in Mathematics from The University of Texas and a PhD in Mathematics from Princeton University.
