Sharon Gelbaum-Shpan

Ms. Sharon Gelbaum-Shpan joined Poalim Ventures in early 2007 following seven years in Pitango Venture Capital.
At Pitango, Ms. Gelbaum-Shpan was a Partner and led investments in the sectors of security software and wireless.
Sharon served on the Board of Directors of multiple high-growth companies, including RedBend Software, E4X, Forescout Technologies, BioControl/MedImpulse, Axis Mobile (AIM: AXIS), Transparency Software and Prolify.
During her tenure in Pitango She worked closely with Poalim Ventures, which has nine co-investments with Pitango.
She has extensive experience in screening and evaluating companies and has worked closely with portfolio companies assisting them with defining business strategies, recruiting key personnel and industry experts and introducing new investors.
Before joining Pitango in 2000, she was a Principal at Eucalyptus Ventures.
Prior thereto Sharon was for 5 years General Counsel of the Oshap group (NASDAQ:OSHS acquired by SunGard) and Tecnomatix Technologies (NASDAQ:TCNO acquired by UGS) – two large Israeli hi-technology companies.
She holds an LLB (hon.) from Buckingham University.
