Simone Pini

Simone Pini has 13 years of experience in infrastructure investments and corporate finance.
Since joining Cube IM in 2007, he has been in charge of financial modeling, due diligence, company valuation and asset management on a number of assets acquired by Cube IM.
Since 2010, he has focused on the energy and energy services sectors and was notably involved in the acquisition and the asset management of NeoElectra, Enertherm, Idex, CNIM’s WtE plants, SAUR and Boralex Europe and the most recent acquisition of CogenInfra’s district heating assets in Italy, PFP II’s hydro assets in Spain and Varanger Kraftvind in Norway.
He has been a Supervisory Board member of Idex until August 2018 and is currently a Supervisory Board member of CogenInfra and a member of the Board of Directors of RPIPE, PFP II and Varanger Kraftvind.
Mr. Pini began his career in the M&A Energy team of Mediobanca, Milan, and is a graduate with honors from Politecnico di Milano and holds a diploma from the Alta Scuola Politecnica as well as an MBA from the Collège des Ingénieurs.
He has earned the right to use the CFA designation.
An Italian citizen, he is also fluent in English and French.
