Mr. Atsushi Horikawa is a Chief Investment Officer of Japan Value Equities at AllianceBernstein Japan Ltd. He is on the Board of Directors at AllianceBernstein Japan Ltd. He was appointed Co-Chief Investment Officer in October 2016 and sole Chief Investment Officer in April 2017 to manage the firm's Japanese equity products and lead a team of experienced investment professionals covering Japanese companies.
Prior to that, he was a Portfolio Manager for Japan Value Equities, having served as Director of Research for the service since 2012.
He joined the firm in 2000 as a Research Analyst, and was named Senior Research Analyst in 2002.
Previously, Mr. Horikawa worked at Sakura Bank as a Business-Planning executive.
He holds a BA in law from the University of Tokyo and an MBA from Harvard University, and is a Chartered Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan.
