Brendan Walsh

Dr. Brendan Walsh is Research Officer at The Economic & Social Research Institute.
He joined the firm in July 2016 and is part of the Social Research Division.
His main research interest is health economics, with a particular focus on healthcare costs, access, and inequalities, and the economics of cancer.
Prior to this position, Dr. Walsh was a post-doctoral research fellow in the School of Health Sciences at City University London from 2014-2016.
As part of his PhD, he was also a visiting research scholar in the Department of Health Services at the University of Washington, Seattle from 2011-2013.
He was awarded a PhD in 2014, and holds a M.A. in Economics and a B.A in Economics and History from National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG).
