Fernandes, CFA, is a Portfolio Manager & Director at UBS Asset Management (UK) Ltd.
He is within the Passive Fixed Income team, based in London.

He joined UBS Asset Management in 2007 as a performance analyst.
He then rejoined UBS in 2010, where he worked within the Fixed Income Portfolio Analytics team, and was responsible for providing day-to-day support for analytics as well as developing quantitative processes for portfolio management, specifically focusing on stratified sampling techniques for passive global credit portfolios.
He has over 12 years of investment industry experience.
In 2009, Mr. Fernandes joined Hermes Fund Managers where he worked on fixed income projects.
He began his career in 2005 as an investment research analyst at Evergreen Investments.
His role following this was as a fixed income performance analyst at F&C Asset Management.
He holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC), and is a regular member of the CFA institute.
He received his MEng (Hons) from The University of Sheffield (UK).
