David Solomon

Meritage co-founder and Managing Director David Solomon is an extraordinary operator and entrepreneur.
An accountant by training, he served KPMG as a partner, but left after 13 years to join Brooks Fiber Properties as CFO.
Under his direction, the company grew from seven employees to more than 1,800, and raised more than $1.2 billion in debt and equity from both the public and private capital markets.
In less than five years, Brooks Fiber Properties was sold for $3.4 billion.

David leads the firm’s investment activities, currently serving as a director of Meritage portfolio companies EdgeConneX, Digital Fortress, and Faction.
In addition, he spearheads the firm’s sourcing and due diligence activities.

David has served dozens of companies as an operating executive, from CFO to CEO, and as an active, diligent, and effective director.
After Brooks Fiber Properties sale, he joined NuVox as its CEO and led the company through a successful merger with Windstream.
Under his leadership, NuVox grew from $200,000 in annual revenue to over $530 million.
