Jay M. Bernhardt

Jay M.
Bernhardt is a Director of the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention.
Prior to joining Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, he was an Assistant Professor and the Founding Director of the Center for Public Health Communications at the Emory University Rollins School of Public Health.
Dr. Bernhardt was an Assistant Professor at the University of Georgia.
Previously, he was a Health Educator and Media Campaign Coordinator in the Office of Sexual Assault Services at Rutgers University Student Health Service.
Dr. Bernhardt founded the National Public Health Student Caucus of the American Public Health Association.
He received a degree in Sociology and Computer Science from Rutgers University, an MPH degree from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey, and a PhD from the University of North Carolina.
