Julie Gelfand

Julie Gelfand has been Vice President of Sustainable Development for The Mining Association of Canada since November 18, 2008 and President of Nature Canada since November 1992.
Ms. Gelfand was a Founding Member of MiningWatch Canada and a Director of Wildlife Habitat Canada and the Global Council of BirdLife International.
She was a Member of the Advisory Committee on Environmental Protection, the New Directions Group, the Biodiversity Convention Advisory Committee, the Species at Risk Advisory Committee and the North American Bird Conservation Initiative.
Ms. Gelfand has 25 years of experience in the environmental field.
She holds a degree in Biology and Social Sciences and an MBA.
