Cartecay Capital Management's investment approach is based on asset allocation. Assets are allocated among equities, fixed-income securities and cash. The firm's stock selection process starts begins with a weekly updated list of companies that are highly rated by S&P, Zacks, Schwab or Investors Business Daily. Cartecay narrows the list by price and trading volume restrictions which results in universe of 40 to 150 potential stocks. The firm next relies on technical analysis to choose final candidates.
