Prior to joining Kanaly in 2009, Mr. Shelton was a Senior Investment Officer with JPMorgan Private Bank where he provided strategic investment advice to high net worth families, foundations and charitable trusts.
In addition, he spent several years at AIM Investments as a Senior Portfolio Manager and Equity Analyst.
During his time at AIM, he co-managed a large-cap US equity fund along with a financial services sector fund.
Mr. Shelton graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Business Administration from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.
He is a Phi Beta Kappa and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
He is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of New Mexico.
