Prior to joining Nextstage Capital, Mr. Doherty founded Bonifield Associates Healthcare Division, recruiting sales and marketing executives for Schering Plough, CIGNA, Warner Lambert, Eckerd Drugs, CVS and Caremark.
Previously, he spearheaded a new Managed Care Division at Shifrin-Fischer Group, cultivating clients such as Independence Blue Cross/AmeriHealth, Oxford Health Plans and MIM Corporation.
Mr. Doherty contributes his expertise in human capital and the life sciences, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical markets to numerous associations and publications.
He most recently authored an article, "The Pulse of Life Sciences: Human Capital," in NJTC's LifeSciTech magazine.
At the University of Maryland at College Park, Mr. Doherty held a major in Economics and a minor in Philosophy.
