He was National President of the Fraternal Order of Police, and Drug Enforcement Coordinator and a Member of the Governor's Drug Enforcement Advisory Council.
Mr. Gallegos began his career as a Patrolman with the Albuquerque Police Department in 1964 and retired as a Deputy Chief in 1988.
He received a Bachelor's degree in Criminology from the University of Albuquerque.
