Formerly known as Aberdeen Asset Investments Ltd., the firm was founded in 1964 and is headquartered in London. AAI provides investment solutions to private individuals, financial institutions, charities, investment trusts and corporate and local government pension funds in Great Britain and worldwide.

Liontrust Investments Ltd. (LIL) is the asset management subsidiary of Liontrust Asset Management Plc (LSE: LIO) in Great Britain. Formerly known as Alliance Trust Investments Ltd., founded as Alliance Trust Asset Management in 2009, the firm was acquired by Liontrust in 2017 and was renamed Liontrust Investments Ltd. They are headquartered in Edinburgh and manage the Liontrust and Luxcellence funds.
