Quadrivio is an active investment manager. Their investment strategy targets mid-sized firms operating in Italy and other European countries. They invest in a range of sectors including medical equipment, distribution services, food and beverage, manufacturing and distribution of high design content products (with the exception of fashion clothing), B to B services, niche FMCG and specialty machinery. They do not invest in start-ups or distressed firms. The firm acts as a sole investor and also considers co-investment with other institutional investors. They generally take majority or significant minority stakes in their investee companies. They partner with management, contributing their expertise and relationships, including financial, international and operational strategies and their network of tax, corporate and legal specialists, to foster growth. On occasion, Quadrivio provides management personnel for a limited time to their investee companies. They typically structure their exits in the form of IPOs, trade sales or share repurchases. The firm's board of directors makes the investment decisions.
