Stephen T. Clayton

Stephen Clayton is Chief Financial Officer of Tremont Investment Management, Inc. He also serves as Chief Operating Officer of Tremont Capital Management, Inc. Mr. Clayton is responsible for the ongoing management and coordination of certain operating units and staff functions.
He directs, coordinates and administers Tremont’s daily company operations.
Mr. Clayton also maintains his responsibilities as a Director of Tremont Securities, Inc. and Tremont Futures, Inc. respectively.
Prior to becoming Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Clayton served eight years as Tremont’s Chief Financial Officer where he was responsible for financial reporting, both internal and regulatory.
Prior to joining Tremont in 1994, he had ten years experience working at Ernst & Young LLP serving as a Senior Manager, where his clients included numerous financial services companies.
Mr. Clayton holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from The University of Connecticut.
He is a CPA, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Clayton has also completed the Series 27 and 63 licensing requirements.
