Mr. Fabio Cortes is the Head of Macro & Fixed Income at Oakley Capital Management Ltd.
He was a Managing Director of Amundi AI in London where he was a Portfolio Manager and Senior Investment Analyst focusing on European hedge fund manager selection with a special emphasis on Fixed Income Arbitrage, Global Macro and Systematic Trading strategies.
Prior to joining Amundi AI in January 2006, he began his career at the Bank of England in 2000 as a Research Analyst in the Financial Stability area.
In 2003, he moved to the Bank's Foreign Exchange Division as an asset swap dealer and fixed-income analyst.
Mr. Cortes graduated from the University of Navarra in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree (Honours) in Economics.
He also earned a Diploma (Higher Education) in Accounting at Hull University in 1999 and a Master's degree in Finance & Investment at Durham University in 2000.
